Course Outline ACS-3907-050 Course Objectives1. Understanding the innovations in business concepts and models made possible/necessary by e-commerce. 2. Understanding the technological foundations making e-commerce possible. 3. Understanding the operational foundations of business to consumer and business to business e-commerce 4. Appreciating examples of successful e-commerce ventures, some in Canada 5. Appreciating existing Federal / Provincial support for e-businesses in Manitoba 6. Ability to develop and present a detailed preliminary plan for a proposed B2C e-business that could operate on the Internet out of Winnipeg 7. Ability to develop a preliminary prototype of a website for the proposed e-business |

Welcome to ACS-3907-050: This is the course syllabus outline for ACS 3907-050 E-Commerce. This course provides an overview and understanding of the foundation concepts of E-Commerce from three (3) perspective: 1) Business 2) Technology 3) Operations. The Winter Class Session 2021 is hosted by the University of Winnipeg, Faculty of Applied Computer Science (ACS). Classes are scheduled 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday evenings from January 11 to April 5, 2021. Course topics and instructions for each week’s lesson will be posted in Nexus.
